Ya, well hopefully I can get it fixed soon because the other light I have in my room just isn't cutting it. At least I don't have horribly much to do tonight...

Spring time here does not mean snow. But apparently now it does. >.>

you live in the midwest, spring can mean 90 and sun, thunderstorms, or 2' of snow....that's just the way it is. (heck most of the time I lived there there was NO spring...you had winter and then summer).

Why do so many "believe" in meteorolgists, or however you call them "weatherman" it's 1 of few proffesion where you can lie to a whole nation, and still get away with it.

Nooo, we weren't talking about you at all Snog...

Ya, not so much a fan of this cold weather. Especially when it is the weekend and cold. >> Not cool weather, not cool.

We normally refer to those that get on the TV and try to tell us what is going to happen tomorrow and 5 days down the line weathermen. Those that actually work for the national weather service and stuff I see as meteorologist. That's just me though.

I'd rather not go into that domino effect any time soon. Just sayin'.

And cosy, at 6:45 or whatever in the morning, you better believe I am not going to be spelling correctly lol

huh? spelling---I was emphasizing the MAN since its very hard for a lady to be a weatherMAN...so they are usually called meteorologists (weatherlady???)

I like pizza to.
yes I am aware of the domino effect--however, my eyesight has always been poor so if it gets worse I will need a cute doggie, a pair of really dark glasses and a cane! (though I think I already have the glasses picked out-------)

went to a german restaurant for dinner----fiep was happy with the spatzle and bread dumplings....though he didnt get to have them (and we had pretzel bread too).....and then home for a nice long drug induced--nap.
oh well, knew 'doesnt cause drowsiness' was too good to believe.

You can not, ever predict the weather, as it can change so quick, you can say there's a possibility for "this and that".

My way of knowing weather? look out my window, and yes that can also change very fast, but man, having people tell you the weather on tv is stupid, we have it here in DK too, i find it a nuisance too have.

It's still called a weatherman, "man" as such is "neutral" people trying to change it to have female sounds a chauvanists, yes women can be that too, and often is far worse than men. Though some men are excepional chauvanistic.

You also say Anchorman, manpower and so on, and that "man" on these words, are not meaning men only, they mean, men, women, children, handicapped, hermafrodites, Shemales and so on.

It's weekend, i had time to write a little for once

also, you all must have a great weekend, positive is better, though my post is somewhat not positive, some would say, it's just my opinions though, which sometimes can be annoying to people.

as they say.

Rather be hurt by the truth, than live happy on a lie.

Ya I agree azzer. You can never fully accurately predict the weather. But it doesn't stop them from trying. They are never going to be 100% correct but usually they are close enough to appease most people.

I did spell it correctly cosy? Oh ok lol I was at school for 11 hours yesterday due to parent teacher conferences so I guess by the time I got home I wasn't awake lol Oh well.

yes you did....

and azzer there are TONS of women who would be offended to be called MAN.....policeman was changed to police officer. mail man was changed to mail carrier. anchor person, etc
.....actually when I was in my linguistics class we had this discussion and the teacher pointed out a town in california (yeah you would figure it would be there) that when the election was over the town found that the new board/whatever was all WOMEN so--they decided to tackle the -man issue and changed ALL the town documents and such to be impersonal ....except....MANhole cover....which they deemed correct for what it covered up. (yes true story)

as for the weather prediction---its kinda nice to have an idea what to expect. You can indeed look outside and see a beautiful day, however, if you had watched the weather report you would find that a HUGE blizzard was heading your way --FAST! and that by the time you made it to where ever you were going it would be snowing very very hard....yes the weather can change quickly and having a bit of foreknowledge can be a lifesaver sometimes....as they say in the boy scouts: BE PREPARED!

Maybe manhole is better than cover rather than womanhole cover.
Weather is random and just because it did something 50 times in a row doesn't mean it will always do it the fifty-first time. Therefore weather forecasting can never be totally accurate.
